ARC Laboratory Services provides acid soluble chemical testing for concrete and aggregate materials to AS 1012.20.1. We test for Acid Soluble Chloride in concrete per fraction, identifying chloride ion concentrations that can initiate reinforcement corrosion in concrete structures. We also test for Acid Soluble Chloride in aggregate, and Acid Soluble Sulphate in both aggregate and concrete, as elevated sulphate levels can cause expansive reactions that degrade concrete over time. These tests are required for concrete durability assessments, material approval, and compliance with structural and infrastructure specifications across Western Australia.
