ARC Laboratory Services provides aggregate classification testing to AS 1141 and Main Roads WA specifications. We conduct Particle Size Distribution testing by dry or washed sieving to AS 1141.11.1 and WA 210.1, establishing the grading profile of coarse and fine materials. We quantify fine fractions through Material Finer Than 75µm and Material Finer Than 2µm testing. We assess particle quality through Coarse Aggregate Quality by Visual Comparison to AS 1141.30.1, and identify undesirable inclusions through Weak Particles testing to AS 1141.32 and Light Particles testing. These tests form the foundation of aggregate source approval and ongoing quality control for road construction, concrete production, and civil engineering across Western Australia.
