ARC Laboratory Services provides specialist petrographic analysis across aggregate, rock, concrete, and natural stone materials to AS 1141, ASTM, BS EN, and ISRM standards. Our aggregate petrography services include Secondary Mineral Content analysis to AS 1141.26 using 100-point and 1800-point counts, Standard Petrographic Reports to ASTM C295, Durable and Non-Durable Mineral Assessment, and qualitative petrological screening for alkali-silica reactivity to AS 1141.65. We also provide Free Silica and Quartz Content statements to Queensland Main Roads Q188. For concrete, we conduct petrographic examination of hardened samples to ASTM C856. For rock and stone, our services include petrographic description to ISRM methodology, natural stone petrographic examination to BS EN 12407, Classification of Material Weathering to AS 1726, Shape Analysis for roundness and sphericity, and assessment of possible asbestos minerals to AS 4964. These services support aggregate source qualification, construction material approval, concrete condition assessment, and geotechnical investigations across Australia.
