ARC Laboratory Services provides aggregate strength testing to AS 1141 and Main Roads WA specifications. We conduct Aggregate Crushing Value testing to AS 1141.21, which measures the resistance of aggregate to progressive compressive load and is a core requirement for road base, subbase, and concrete aggregate approval. We test Wet Dry Strength Variation to AS 1141.22, quantifying the loss in strength that occurs when aggregate is wetted, a key indicator of durability under service conditions in WA’s variable climate. We also provide Crushing Test Value testing to Main Roads WA specification WA 223.1, widely used for pavement material assessment in Western Australia. These tests provide the strength data required for material approval on road construction, concrete production, and civil infrastructure projects.
