ARC Laboratory Services provides Resistance to Stripping testing for aggregate to AS 1141.50. This test evaluates the adhesion between aggregate and bituminous binder when exposed to water, assessing the tendency of the binder film to strip from the aggregate surface. Stripping resistance is a critical performance indicator for asphalt and sprayed seal applications, where moisture-induced debonding can lead to premature pavement failure. Results directly inform aggregate source approval and binder selection for road surfacing projects across Western Australia.
